To ensure compliance with CAEP requirements, the Education Preparation Programs are required to prominently display Annual Reporting Measures. The information below is listed to meet CAEP reporting requirements for the Utah accredited programs. Given the low “n” of the Utah programs and their teach-out status, unless specified, the data provided represents aggregate data for University of Phoenix College of Education students.
The following programs offered by the College of Education are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), a specialized accrediting body. Following a merger of accreditors, NCATE accreditation is administered by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Yes, we have several online education degrees that lead to teacher licensure. Our licensure programs are robust and require field work in a school setting starting early with key coursework and continuing throughout. Our programs conclude with a clinical placement where student teaching is completed.
We offer three degrees designed to prepare you to become an elementary school teacher. If you haven’t already earned a bachelor’s degree, we offer the Bachelor of Science/Elementary Teacher Education and Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (California students only). If you already have a bachelor’s degree in a field outside of education, you can enroll in our Master of Arts in Education/Elementary Teacher Education program.
